       This release note describes patch SG0000233 to the Raid 5
       product.	 It contains the following information:

       1.1  Hardware_platforms_supported

       This patch to Raid 5 supports the Challenge and Onyx
       platforms.

       1.2  Bugs_fixed_by_patch_SG0000233

       This patch contains fixes for the following problems that
       exist in	the Raid 5 product release software

	  o Bug	fix to the Clariion Command Line Interface (CLI)
	    which kept it from being able to turn off caching in
	    the	controller.  This was reported as bug #253624

       1.3  Compatability_considerations

       This patch is only applicable to	the Raid 5 product
       installation and	is not associated with Patch 159 also
       delivered on the	Raid 5 product CD.

       1.4  Subsystems_included_in_patch_SG0000233

       This patch includes changes to the following Raid 5 product:
       raid5.  The patchSG0000233 image	contains the following
       subsystems:

	  o patchSG0000233.raid5_sw.raid5

       1.5  Installation_instructions

       This patch is only installable on systems that have
       previously installed the	Raid 5 product CD.  It is
       recommended that	you select all the patch subsystems that
       correspond to software already installed	on the system.

       One way in which	software patches differ	from full releases
       and maintenance releases	is that	patches	are reversible:
       you can remove the patch	and restore the	installed software
       to its state before the patch was applied.  This	is done	by
       using the versions command as superuser:
