YYYYMMII-RR-$#### Where: YYYY - The year the incident is first reported/acknowledged to SGI. MM - The month the incident is reported/acknowledged to SGI. II - The actual SGI incident number. This is so a single month can have more than one incident reported/acknowledged. RR - The revision of the advisory. This is to allow several iterations and types (see $ field) of an advisory to be issued for the same incident. $ - A letter designating the type of advisory according to: A = Acknowledgment of a vulernability. Used when vulernability is publically known before SGI actions are started. P = Patch or solution is provided. In this case the advisory would have specific workaround and/or patch information. #### - If a patch is available the patch number would follow the P Advisory indictor. An designator of PX means multiple patches are involved. I = Informational only. This type of advisory would provide information applicable to a particalar incident. Examples would be response to general unix vulernability that is not applicable to IRIX. ________________________________________________________________________________
