Id like to thank the various people who e-mailed me with information
concerning my lookup table problems. It turned out that I had made the
mistake of instantiating my lookup tables with the external format of my
data instead of the format suitable for the rendering mode I was running
in. As a consequence the lookup tables were always LUMINANCE which
caused a few difficulties.
I do have another question however. Assuming an external data format of
LUMINANCE with data type UNSIGNED SHORT, can I simply use the high byte
of each luminance value to give the index into the lookup table?
Regards
Mark...
