This is the IRIX 5.0 version of cdplayer, compiled for 4.0.5.
If you are running IRIX 5.0 or later you don't need to copy this.
You already have it.

To install, become root and use the command

    tar xvf cdplayer.tar

This will install /usr/lib/X11/cdplayer, /usr/lib/X11/Cdplayer, and
bitmaps in /usr/lib/X11/cdplayer/

This version of cdplayer uses the same mechanism as cdman for storing
artist, title and track information about CDs.  The same resources and
command line arguments can be used to affect the location and path of
CD database information as for cdman.
